Appearance and finish around the new enclosure
Discuss visible placement and surrounding finish work before the changeover. The electrical installation, trim treatment and final wall restoration should have clear responsibilities rather than assumed matching dimensions.
Clarify whether finishing around the enclosure belongs to the electrical contractor or another trade. Equipment installation and a fully restored painted wall are different scope descriptions.
Can appearance be planned without hiding access?
The new panel's dimensions and connection arrangement may differ from the original. Decorative treatment must be considered with the equipment's practical access needs rather than designed around an assumed identical cover.
Discuss the final visible position and surrounding repair work in advance. Electrical completion and a repainted wall are separate outcomes unless the agreed scope expressly includes both.
