Entry and stair lighting in a revised layout
Mark doors, stairs and the routes people will use after renovation. The control plan should follow the finished movement through the space rather than simply reconnect the old switches in place.
Show the routes people will take when the work is complete. Controls should be discussed against that movement rather than inherited positions from the former room arrangement.
How can a room change affect switching?
A moved doorway can make an inherited switch position inconvenient, even if the fixture locations remain. The final travel routes should guide the control discussion.
Review the selected control system with existing wiring before rough work is fixed. The proposal should identify retained functions and altered locations, rather than assume adding another switch automatically produces a suitable multi-location arrangement.
Details to include with this request
