Outdoor-lighting provisions during construction
Specify whether the present work is a pathway provision or a complete lighting installation. Fixture selection and controls can affect what preparation is appropriate.
Identify likely control positions along with future destinations. Preparation should state what it provides rather than imply that undecided fixtures and final connections are already included.
What can be settled before fixtures are selected?
Known destinations and control points help define useful route provisions. Final products can still affect wiring and equipment requirements that remain unresolved.
The preparation scope should identify the pathway or wiring installed and what remains for completion. This allows construction access to be used purposefully without presenting undecided fixtures and their final connections as an already operational system.
