Service capacity versus feeder capacity
The feeder and upstream service need their own evaluations. Describe the full path so the estimate does not treat a service upgrade as an automatic fix for downstream limitations.
Describe the complete supply path to the new equipment. A downstream limitation can remain even after a separate upstream service project has been completed.
Where can a capacity limitation remain?
A feeder has its own conductors and equipment ratings between the service and destination. Enlarging the incoming service does not automatically alter that path.
Reviewing the new load from source to final circuit identifies which parts need attention. The proposal can then distinguish service work from downstream distribution changes, avoiding an upgrade that is described as resolving equipment it does not actually replace.
Details to include with this request
