Lighting design coordinated with millwork
Select systems with their drivers and installation information available before rough wiring is finalized. The scope should identify supply responsibilities and accessible equipment positions rather than treat every light as one identical point.
Ask who supplies specialty drivers and controls. Product selection and service access should be understood before decorative fixtures are treated as interchangeable rough-wiring points.
Where do specialty-lighting parts belong?
Drivers and connection components may need separate locations from the visible fixture. Their access and product requirements can affect the millwork plan.
Identify supplier-provided parts before rough wiring is finalized. The electrical scope should describe supply points and interfaces, rather than treat a decorative fixture selection as a complete installation design or assume concealed components can be reached after finishes close.
