Power around built-in furniture
Plan the finished furniture arrangement before moving devices. Consider access to connections and the equipment that will occupy the space, including lighting and charging supplies.
Include dimensions and the position of removable equipment. A device that is convenient before cabinetry is installed can become difficult to use or reach afterward.
What can cabinetry change electrically?
A cabinet can hide a formerly accessible outlet or leave a plug projecting into a drawer or appliance space. The finished interior dimensions matter to both usability and the physical connection arrangement.
Lighting supplies and equipment connections also need an accessible location appropriate to their products. Reviewing the millwork before fabrication allows electrical positions to be coordinated with removable equipment and the way the furniture will actually be used.
